For a contents page to look professional I think that certain things are needed like the main image on the contents page to have a link with the main topic of the magazine. Contents pages can be laid out very differently even if it is from the same type of genre. Looking at different types of music magazine content pages, each magazine has its own way of presenting it self.  Some magazines only had two or less images on their magazine contents page and some of them had more than two. Some magazines displayed a wide range of different type of musicians like single artists (male and female) and also band/groups this gives the reader a clue about what articles might include in the magazine through the image because they wouldn't randomly place a pictures there without having some sort of connection to the magazine or what’s inside it. Most of the magazines had more than one column which helps the viewer see the main points of the magazine. The layout of very magazine was very different from each other this helps me think of how I would create something fresh and not done before because I think each magazine wants to be known for its known style and the way they present it. One thing that was very common about these magazines was the tone and colour used. The main colour for most of them was black and grey this also relates to hip hop because hip hop is very strong and aggressive and theses colours are urban and relates to this type of music. This made me think about what types of colour I would have to consider for my contents page because if I used happier colours like yellow or orange then you wouldst get the feeling that this magazine is Hip Hop or RnB. The layout of the contents page can be used in different types of music genre because the way it is laid out it can also fit different type of music genre but what makes the contents page looks the way it is because of the images that are used.  This also made me think about how I am going to present my model and make it connect to the style of music without people getting confused about the genre.
